Join musician Erin Jorgensen for an hour of live marimba music accompanied by pancakes made on-the-spot. Erin will play a selection of Bach followed by calming marimba improvisations. A great way to kick off your summer morning with the family.

1pm | Christopher Icasiano
Spend your afternoon with percussion legend Christopher Icasiano! Icasiano will talk a bit of drums and play a bit of drums, depending on the mood of this highly versatile player. This is a must-attend for percussionists and lovers of percussion!
Christopher Icasiano is a Filipinx-American percussionist and composer from Redmond, WA. Based now in Seattle, he has been performing and touring professionally for over 15 years. His specialization in free-improvisation and experimental music combined with his vast experience with pop and rock have made him a highly sought after collaborator in all genres of music. He co-founded the grassroots arts organization Table & Chairs, as well as the Racer Sessions, a weekly performance series and free-improvisation jam session. Christopher currently tours with Fleet Foxes, Pure bathing Culture & his long-standing drum and saxophone duo Bad Luck.

3pm | Gretchen Yanover
Cellist Gretchen Yanover will play a dreamy set of original and improvised music on amplified cello. Yanover is nationally known for her original compositions and her beautiful work with electric cello and looping pedal.
Yanover has been a member of Northwest Sinfonietta orchestra since 1998 and also sits on NW Sinfonietta’s DEI task force, working to make meaningful changes in the classical music culture, along with creating connections in the community. You can often find Yanover working collaboratively with dancers and choreographers in the Pacific NW and beyond.

5pm | Raven String Quartet
Seattle expert string players have joined forces to form a festival-only quartet. This group of top-notch artists will play a gorgeous set including music from American contemporary composer Jessie Montgomery, the anxious pop of Radiohead, and the melancholic beauty of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. The quartet also performs Saturday August 31 at 5pm.

6:30pm | Benjamin Marx & Erin Jorgensen
Musician and composer Benjamin Marx will close out the festival with a lovely set of original music, joined by Erin Jorgensen with a few songs. They will be joined on select tunes by players from the Raven String Quartet.
Benjamin Marx is an American composer, producer, and songwriter. His latest chamber work, feynman diagrams for percussion, synthesizer and samples, premiered at Octave 9 in May of 2023, under the auspices of the Seattle Symphony.
his work focuses on that which is quiet and repetitive. His debut record of contemporary chamber music, anxious pangs, debuted on KEXP’s Pacific Notions in 2019. After that, he released his second record, you don’t say, to acclaim in September 2021.
